Hong Kong Web3 Association (HKWeb3) is the largest community in Hong Kong. Established in 2021 as the Hong Kong NFT Association, the community comprises of over 2000 users, enthusiasts and practitioners in the growing web3 ecosystem.
What is Web3
Web3 is the next generation of World Wide Web incorporating concepts of decentralised ecosystem, A Virtual asset economy coupled with emerging technologies of blockchain, tokenisation, Metaverse and AI.
Hong Kong policy towards web3 and digital assets
Hong Kong is becoming a regional centre for digital finance with the Government opening up regulations for financial institutions and retail trading of leading cryptocurrencies followed by security token offerings.
